Local Pref
The NELLICUS backbone makes use of the following local pref:

| 400 | Direct PNI Session Routes (over physical connection) |
| 300 | Direct Peer over Internet Exchange |
| 200 | Internet Exchange Route Server Routes |
| 100 | Upstream / Transit Provider Routes |
By default, all received customer routes are assigned a local preference of 500 in the NELLLICUS Backbone. Customers can manipulate this preference using our BGP action communities:
